Activities: Class 3 + 4 whitewater rafting, hiking, scrambling, learning how to filter fresh water, team building activities, stargazing, outdoor cooking.

Fri, Oct 6: Depart Oratory by 3pm via shuttle for the Llama House ADK. The drive will take about 4 hours (including breaks). Arrive at LLama House around 7pm.
7:30pm: Dinner
8:30pm: Group bonfire
10:30pm: Lights Out
Sat, October 7:
8:00am: Breakfast
9:00am: Depart for rafting with Beaver Brook Outfitters. We will be split into two (2) groups of 5 per raft. Each raft will have a professional guide. We will raft on the Hudson River. Sometimes, we are able to see bald eagles while paddling.
12pm: Lunch on the Hudson River / Learn how to filter water from a river source
2:30pm: Conclude the rafting trip.
3pm: Return to Lama House
4pm: Short Hike
5pm: Option for Mass
6:30pm: Group Dinner at the Lama House
9pm: Stargazing under a clear ADK sky
10:30pm: Lights out
Sunday, October 8:
9am: Wake up / Breakfast at LLama House ADK
10am: Hike Peaked Mountain
12:30: Lunch on Peak Mountain
1:30pm: Learn to how to scramble
4pm: Depart for Oratory Prep
8 - 9pm: Arrive at Oratory Prep to meet parents + guardians

In addition to the primary leaders below, we also have a team of guides from Beaver Creek Outfitters who will be leading our rafting trip on Saturday.
a) Mr. Greg Morrissey (M.A.) is the founder of Mountain Goat Movement. As a seasoned high school teacher and coach, Greg spent the last 10 years building human-powered adventures for high school and college students in the greater NYC area. He has led thousands of young people on treks, climbing trips, surf trips, ski trips, sustainability programs, and more both domestically and internationally. Greg has personally raised over $100,000 for financially-restricted students to participate in meaningful outdoor excursions. He has presented his work at the American Alpine Club’s annual dinner and the venerated Explorers Club. Greg serves in advisory roles in the Next Generation of Explorers, The Explorers Club, Scientific and Exploration Society, and the American Alpine Club. He is a contributing adventure writer for KAVU and Men’s Journal and serves as an ambassador for Arc'teryx NY, Allred Skis, and Opolis Glasses. He has presented on youth empowerment and outdoor accessibility across schools, and podcasts like The Health Investment and Hiiker. He has served as the opening speaker for Al Gore as well as the Changemakers20 Summit (2023).
b) Dr. Tim Keyes is an expedition science director. Tim is an analytics professional with a PhD in Applied Statistics and years of relevant applied experience in large corporate entities such as General Electric Company. He’s also an explorer-scientist, whose vocational and avocational journey has been enabled through effective communication - storytelling - translating the story behind the data and fostering action in the business and environmental domains. He is the founder of Evergreen Business Analytics, LLC, which supports the analytics journey of financial institutions and non-profits, active as lead researcher for The Sierra Club Connecticut, recently focusing on outdoor air quality. Tim also teaches in the Masters in Business Analytics programs at Sacred Heart University in Connecticut and Wake Forest University in North Carolina, and serves on the Board of Adirondack Hamlets to Huts where he is developing a Community Science program.
