The following chaperones have uplifted a wonderful tradition of skiing and fellowship in Killington, VT. All chaperones are certified in First-Aid, AED, and they are well versed in skiing. More importantly, they serve as dedicated mentors to the next generation of lifelovers and stewards.
Dr. Benedetto Youssef has been teaching English, at both the high school and college level, for nearly a decade. His studies focus on experiential learning and narratology, areas of interest that often pull him out of the classroom and into the outdoors, where he is an avid snowboarder, hiker, hunter, and outdoor writer. Much of these recreational and scholarly interests were sparked in his younger years, growing up with a home in the Catskill Mountains. He has traveled the country and snowboarded in over a dozen states including Wyoming, Utah, and Colorado. He is inspired by the opportunity to spread the joy of the outdoors while bringing greater awareness to climate change and best stewardship practices.
Brendan Bryant, a proud alumnus of St. Peter's Prep, Class of 2008, and St. Joseph's University, has a strong connection to mentoring students through outdoor and service experiences. He has chaperoned Adventure Club trips with Mr. Morrissey and service immersion trips to Bethlehem Farm, Nazareth Farm, and Ecuador, helping students engage with diverse communities and environments. Brendan’s commitment to creating transformative experiences reflects the Jesuit ideals instilled at Prep, fostering competence, conscience, and compassion in every experience.
Mr. Will White has a deep passion for sports and a knack for helping others navigate their careers. He spent eight years working as a ski technician, gaining valuable hands-on experience in the outdoor sports industry. Today, he gives back to Miami University (Ohio) by mentoring students who are preparing for interviews and exploring careers in sports management. Will enjoys sharing his industry knowledge and personal experiences to help students feel confident and prepared as they take the next steps in their professional journeys.
Marc Cozzarelli is a 2018 graduate of Saint Peter’s Prep and an alumnus of Saint Joseph’s University. He currently works at Bank of America in New York City. During his time at Prep, Marc cherished attending the annual ski trip and participating in various other school events, which he considers some of his most memorable experiences. He is now committed to supporting current students as a chaperone, ensuring they have the opportunity to create lasting memories similar to his own.
Mr. Javier Spiegel is a professional skier and videographer. Born and raised in Chile, Javier now lives in Killington, VT. When he is not throwing double-back flips in Woodward Park, he can be found doing what he loves most: teaching the next generation to become strong skiers and mountain lovers. As a videographer, Javier is a certified FAA Drone Pilot, and he even produced a commercial for the Superbowl in 2018.
